About The Area

Ryde is located in Sydney’s northwest and can boast that it is the third oldest city in Australia! Thus there are a plethora of historic buildings to come and see and experience part of the old Australia. But one of the biggest facets of Ryde is Top Ryde, which contains the commercial area of the suburb.

Ryde is a growing business district, with a large number of corporate organisations setting up offices in North Ryde and surrounds. Ryde also features the huge Aquatic Leisure Centre, complete with indoor wave ryder.  If its restaurants and shopping you’re after, look no further than Top Ryde City Shopping Centre, renowned for the dining precinct The Piazza, with 18 restaurants and cafes, including Coco Cubano.

If you eventually become tired of the shopping and passing by of several restaurants, cafes, and bars in Top Ryde, then take your adventure outside! Within Ryde there’s Santa Rosa Park, and it’s great for walking and cycling enthusiasts.  If you desire to have a picnic, a great place would be Shrimpton’s Creek, which flows into Lane Cove River.  Having a picnic on a sunny day sounds divine! But if a picnic isn’t quite your thing, the park in this area also offers football and cricket facilities.  Whether you’re in Ryde for a few days or you live here, take advantage of all the great things it has to offer, including a stop at Coco Cubano!
